Di akhir tahun 2024, Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Provinsi Banten masih melakukan kegiatan pendistribusian dan pendayagunaan melalui program pembinaan muallaf di Kecamatan Leuwidamar Kab. Lebak pada Senin (30/12). Kegiatan tersebut menyasar 120 orang muallaf yang nantinya akan dibina oleh 4 da'i.

Ketua BAZNAS Provinsi Banten Syibli Syarjaya menuturkan bahwa muallaf merupakan salah satu asnaf yang berhak menerima zakat, sehingga kehadirannya tentu perlu perhatian khusus.

"Para muallaf masih memerlukan berbagai pemahaman secara mendalam terhadap agama Islam, bukan saja persoalan ibadah tetapi juga persoalan lain dalam menjalani kehidupannya dengan Islam. Maka dipandang perlu untuk adanya pembinaan terhadap mereka" ungkap Syibli.

"Melalui pembinaan ini, kami berharap para muallaf nantinya akan dapat meningkatkan kualitas keimanan dan ketakwaannya kepada Allah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana untuk meningkatkan kapasitas muslim baik itu sisi keimanan, muamalah, ekonomi dan lain sebagainya." tambahnya.
