Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Provinsi Banten salurkan dana zakat untuk bidang pendidikan, melalui program Beasiswa Cendekia Baznas (BCB) pada Selasa (31/12) di salah satu Hotel Kota Serang. Sebanyak 16 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari beberapa Universitas di Kota Serang, berhasil menjadi penerima beasiswa setelah melewati serangkaian tahap seleksi.

”Program beasiswa BCB adalah salah satu program bidang pendidikan yang mendukung pembiayaan peserta BCB dari semester 1 sampai dengan semester 8. Proses penerimaannya dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan seleksi administrasi, assesment/survei faktual dan wawancara terhadap calon penerima program beasiswa BCB” ungkap Syibli Syarjaya Ketua BAZNAS Provinsi Banten.

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa BCB merupakan program BAZNAS yang memiliki tugas menyediakan dana pendidikan demi terjaminnya keberlangsungan program pendidikan sebagai pertanggungjawaban antar generasi dan menyiapkan generasi penerus bangsa yang memiliki kedalaman ilmu pengetahuan, akhlak yang luhur dan berdaya saing.

“Diharapkan dengan adanya beasiswa ini, para mahasiswa menjadi lebih semangat dalam menggapai cita-cita dan kedepannya mereka akan menjadi pribadi yang bermanfaat untuk masyarakat" tambahnya.
